The Catholic University Yeouido St. Mary's Hospital is Korea Catholic's first formal hospital, becoming the predecessor of the Catholic Medical College and the Catholic Central Medical Center established as a part of the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Diocese of Joseon in 1936.

Yeouido St. Mary's Hospital has been constantly endeavoring to practice the Healer’s love, Jesus Christ by treating patients with faith and serving them with the spirit of implementing the Catholic faith through its history of more than 80 years.

We have been performing medical service activities since the beginning of the hospital for neighbors on a difficult situation suffering from diseases. We have been practicing the philosophy of respecting life through various activities such as charity medical treatment, sharing the love of St. Mary and supporting national disaster areas. We have been playing a pivotal role in the development of the domestic medical industry cultivating excellent medical personnel and advanced medical research activities while fulfilling our social responsibilities as a medical institution.

To provide optimal medical treatment based on Catholic spirituality, especially for diseases that occur in stages from the beginning to the end of life, we are operating a comprehensive system - Catholic Maternal/Neonatal Intensive Care Center, NaPro Family Care Center, Integrated Pain Center, Catholic Dementia Cognitive Impairment Center, and Hospice Palliative Medical Center. Yeouido St. Mary's Hospital is the predecessor of Catholic medical institutions in Korea and the center of a domestic medical mission. It is a spiritual realization center hospital and is tackling a great challenge to be reborn as a patient-centered futuristic hospital.

We have also succeeded in obtaining the medical institution certification from the Ministry of Health and Welfare, which means that we have secured patient safety and the quality of our medical services meets international standards. We have completed preparations to become a truly patient-centered hospital providing a smart medical system.

The Catholic University of Korea Yeouido St. Mary's Hospital International Healthcare Center opened in February 2013 and is the only university hospital in Yeouido, Seoul financial district, where we provide total care. It signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Seoul Metropolitan City in 2010 and strives for the convenience of foreign patients.

Yeouido St. Mary's Hospital is the first hospital in Korea to relocate outpatient spaces by disease zone to minimize moving line and provide strong cooperation on each disease, while establishing a truly patient-centered hospital environment. At the International Healthcare Center, we provide fast and accurate medical services to foreigners visiting the hospital with our dedicated coordinators.
